Week 14, November 6-10 2017


Good morning Parents and Students.
It's already week 14 of school with four more weeks to go until the end of the semester. This Saturday the cadets will have the opportunity to participate in the annual Veterans Day parade at Marietta Square. If your cadet has not signed up, please encourage them to do so, we want the Falcon Battalion to show up strong. I  would also like for all of you to come out and support and take pictures.(Marietta Square, November 11, 10am) This week we will be promoting MOST of our cadets to a higher rank based on their leadership potential and how they have been performing up to this point of the semester. Due to voting day on Tuesday, cadets will make up any missed uniform inspections on this Wednesday when they come back to school.  This week's schedule is as follows:


Monday - Drill & Ceremony/Battalion Formation (Parade Practice)


Tuesday - Voting Day(No School)


Wednesday - Class Instruction (Conflict Resolution LET I)(Creating the constitution LET II)


Thursday - Uniform Inspection/Promotions


Friday - Physical Training

Week 9, March 12-16 2018

Happy Monday I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! This starts week 9 of the second semester, and 2 weeks before our major JROTC Program of Accreditation Inspection. This inspection happens every 3 years and we want to continue to get outstanding results in order to maintain our "Gold Star" for unit of distinction.  The past few weeks we have been preparing the cadets for this inspection because everyone will be involved at some capacity. This preparation involved the cadets studying questions that will be asked by inspectors; ensuring they know how to wear the uniform properly to include hair and nails; and perfecting their cadet portfolio's. Progress reports went home March 2, 2018. I have spoken individually with the students who are failing and informed them of what they need to do to pass my class. Week 5, February 5-9 2018

Happy Monday! Last week we had our first uniform inspection of the school year and I must say I was really impressed. We had some minor infractions but the cadets were able to make on the spot corrections.  At this point all the cadets know the standard and we should have less of those "minor infractions". Just as a reminder to parents and students, the uniform pants and jackets are to be dry cleaned as often as necessary (PLEASE DO NOT WASH AT HOME). Week 8 September 18-22 2017

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. This week starts week 8 and the week before the Fall Break. Report cards went home last week, and a few of the cadets need to make up some assignments to include uniform inspection. Uniform make-up is every Tuesday, cadets can wear the uniform all day on Tuesday to make-up a zero received for either being absent or just failed to wear it. The cadets are taking pride in wearing the uniform and asking a lot of questions on how to excel in the program. This weeks schedule is as follows: Monday  - Drill & Ceremony Tuesday  - Class Instruction(Signs of Success...How to earn awards & decorations in the program) Wednesday  - Class Instruction (Create JROTC Portfolio) Thursday  - Uniform Inspection (Class A)/JROTC Photos Friday  - Physical Fitness **JROTC photos will be taken on this Thursday, September 21, please ensure cadets have their uniforms cleaned and males get a haircut***
